She firmly believes that humans can always do better, be it in our treatment of the ones we love, our desire to fix epidemic social problems, or our care for our environment. Claire wants to use theatre as a means to show how this is possible. actor. Claire Allegra Taylor is an actor and educator. Most recently, Claire appeared as in The Resolute (Elizabeth) with Infinite Variety Productions (NYC) produced by the Wyoming Theatre Festival. She spent eight months on Tour 68 of the National Players (Olney Theatre Center) performing in Hamlet (Ophelia), The Giver (Lily), The Grapes of Wrath (Floyd/Ensemble). Claire also spends her time as a Communication scholar, and holds a dual degree in Acting and Relational Communication. At first, she chose to pursue a second undergraduate degree concurrently with an artistic one in order to inform her theatrical life and ability to understand human relationships. Now, Relational Communication has opened up doors for her to explore a world of personal coaching and employee skill development through theatrical principles. Her focuses in the Communication field include dating and romantic relationships, women's issues and gender, and nonverbal behavior. She would like to apply principles of dyadic human communication to a scene in hopes of creating a scientifically-informed breakdown in regards to conflict, action strategy, and varying emotional content in various stages of romantic relationships. |
