Claire Allegra Taylor is a cultivator, investigator, and questioner of human relationships. She firmly believes that humans can always do better, be it in our treatment of the ones we love, our desire to fix epidemic social problems, or our care for our environment. Claire wants to use theatre as a means to show how this is possible. She would like to create work that is vibrant in its language and physical capacity that challenges a modern audience’s expectations.

actor.  Claire Allegra Taylor is an actor and educator. Most recently, Claire appeared as in The Resolute (Elizabeth) with Infinite Variety Productions (NYC) produced by the Wyoming Theatre Festival.  She spent eight months on Tour 68  of the National Players (Olney Theatre Center) performing in Hamlet (Ophelia), The Giver (Lily), The Grapes of Wrath (Floyd/Ensemble). CHICAGO: Remy Bumppo Theatre Company: Pirandello’s Henry IV (u/s Frida, perf.), Rat & Thief: Carnivores…?, Paragon Sci Fi Theatre Festival: Universal Language. Claire is a certified Actor Combatant with the SAFD. She performed a co-written and fight-choreographed play at Nothing Special Productions’s event Fight Night: Valkyries. OTHER CREDITS: Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory: Our Town (Emily), The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy). The Theatre School: Crime and Punishment (Sonia), Failure: A Love Story (Gertrude), The Great God Pan (Paige). EDUCATION: BFA in Acting and BA in Relational Communication from DePaul University. Short Course certification in Shakespeare from L.A.M.D.A. Certified Meisner Teacher from the True Acting Institute. 

photographer.  Get someone in front of a camera, and you can really see who they are. Insecurities fade away after awhile, and it's a photographer's job to capture moments of vulnerability and genuine emotion. Performing a headshot session is an intimate and challenging way to get to know someone. Everyone should have a photograph of themselves that they love; it can give them the confidence to pursue an online business, the tools to market themselves, or even spruce up a dating profile. Whatever the reason, Claire has always enjoyed  meeting humans and pointing cameras at their faces. 

studier of human beings.  Claire also spends her time as a Communication scholar, and holds a dual degree in Acting and Relational Communication. At first, she chose to pursue a second undergraduate degree concurrently with an artistic one in order to inform her theatrical life and ability to understand human relationships. Now, Relational Communication has opened up doors for her to explore a world of personal coaching and employee skill development through theatrical principles. Her focuses in the Communication field include dating and romantic relationships, women's issues and gender, and nonverbal behavior. She would like to apply principles of dyadic human communication to a scene in hopes of creating a scientifically-informed breakdown in regards to conflict, action strategy, and varying emotional content in various stages of romantic relationships.
